Vancouver Boat Show

Seminar Details

Worldwide, there has been a solid growth trend towards boats with more than one hull.   Stability, comfort and a combination of tucked away private spaces and generous social gathering areas aboard make for some ideal platforms for fun on the water. We’ll examine the origins, evolution and modern day multihulls – power and sail – with a specific eye to the considerations for our Pacific Northwest climate and cruising areas. Differences bring a need to understand the handling characteristics, anchoring techniques, lifting and storage.   Colin Jackson adapted the Canadian Yachting Association’s Intermediate Cruising course to include multihull operation many years ago; in this session, you can draw consider a path to increase the number of hulls underneath you next time you go cruising....
